"soooo… turns out “eventual” durability in redb is only a thing on macos— on linux it’s the same as “immediate”. this might still be ok for me, but sad. it had “none” durability which seems promising except that this mode can’t reclaim old pages!!!! file size just explodes with update-heavy work."
